[2019-Sep-25] Encima is normally less crowded compared to other roofdeck places in Poblacion. This maybe attributed to that fact that the place is less forgiving during extreme weather conditions so people don’t have it as a top of mind place to go. Too much sunlight, too much wind, etc. Even just a drizzle and gentle winds can make it uncomfortable (unless you want to get wet).
When weather is cooperative, being at Encima can be relaxing. High ceiling, unenclosed space , nice vistas specially during blue hour and night time. Their Tex-Mex food and drink prices are comparable to other restobars in the area.
Speaking of food, my top favorite surprisingly (maybe because it is my first time to try it?), is the Chix Chimichangga. It maybe because I like the crunch of the fried wrapper together with the mixed stuff inside.
For the drink, their Pink Lady (a ladies drink) stood out. I am not sure of the alcohol content but the drink taste really good. It is just like a juice drink (Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo)
The Beef & Shrimp would have been my favorite but I have had beef and shrimp combos a lot of times already.
Encima has drink variants you can have either hot (during cold nights) or cold (which is the more common situation).
The rest of the food and drinks were ok and here they are…
By the way, I am not sure if the Chix Chimichangga always come with a short song/dance routine when served but that was how it was served to us.
