[2019-10-04] One of my to-do’s for the year is to do a full marathon. I was already doing 21k per run 2 to 3 times a week but weather and a hurt ankle (not from running but a freak incident at a foodie meetup, haha)
I was able to go to bed and sleep around 10pm and woke up before my 4am alarm. I normally use waking up before the alarm as gauge that I am well rested and fit to run.
I scaled down my run to 16k hoping to avoid the usual pains associated with running after a long layoff. I thought it was just 2 months but when I checked NRC App my last run was last week of June!
My NRC stats include the warm up and cool down walks so the distance and time are higher compared to my Garmin stats.
2 hours and 4 minutes for 16k is a good run for me.
By the way, I also tested the outdoor run functionality of the Huawei GT watch I won at an event. It seemed accurate enough. I liked that the heart monitor is already built-in and not a separate chest mounted thingy like what I use with the Garmin 310xt.
Hope to do a 100km month this 2019! Almost did it in June but not quite.
