[2019-Jul-07] My original plan/route to this Kisoya branch is via P2P at San Lorenzo Place to Venice. Unfortunately, when I asked on site, I was told that the trips are few and far between during weekends. I decided to just go via another route w/c is via P2P at BGC BUS MRT-Ayala Station. I got off at Mckinley and was not sure if there are any PUV that goes towards Kisoya, so I started to walk towards Kisoya. There were some PUVs coming from the direction where I am headed so there must be PUVs that goes to there. I only saw some going my direction when I was about a 3rd of the way already and I am not even sure if they indeed are going towards Kisoya so I decided to just continue walking.
Upon arrival, there were already about half of the expected attendees. I seem to have forgotten to take more pics of the place because I took some video of it. Click here to see one of them.
Soon after the go signal to prepare the dishes, they started coming out.
Samgyup Sushi Aburi … My first time to try a Samgyup Sushi. I think most of us liked this a lot not because it is new but because it really taste good. I am a carnivore that loves Japanese food and Korean food so it is expected I would like this fusion 🙂
Gyoza…
Kisoya Special Roll …
Tonkatsu …
Kimchi Nabe Udon … Just the right level of spiciness for me
Kimchi fried rice … I have tried a number of kimchi rice versions. Some I like but some I don’t like (e.g. those with very strong bell pepper taste) and this is one that I like a lot. It has mozzarella as one of the ingredients used!
Gyudon Set Beef Rice Bowl … a very filling meal set
Grill Platter … if you like grilled food this one is for you. Cooked just right so it is still moist and tender.
Bulgogi Nachos … I have tried nachos that have replaced the usual cornchips with something else and this one is another example. They used gyoza wrapper in this one and I like the crunchiness and taste of it.
Desserts and desserts group pic (hehe) … I am not a dessert person but I liked these.

My possible gripe would be the not-so-easy to go and find location of the place for first timers. It is also not a commuter friendly area. Those that don’t like walking would need to brng their car, take a taxi, grab or angkas.
I would encourage you to go and try this place out. Worth the trip.
BTW, this place has it own smoking area INSIDE the restaurant!!!
