October 2018 Tokyo Day #2 – DisneySea

Tokyo Day 2 DisneySea

While planning this Tokyo trip, my daughter was originally thinking of 2 days for Disney, 1 day for DisneySea and 1 day for DisneyLand. She eventually decided to just limit it to one day and between DisneySea & DisneyLand, DisneySea is the obvious choice since it is the only one in the world compared to several DisneyLand?

Before 7:30am we were already at the train station.

Looking at this photo, I can’t remember if we had the unli breads, coffee, tea, fresh orange juice breakfast that is included in the hotel stay.

By 8am we arrived at the Disney Resort Line.

Views from the train windows…

Disney touch…

Before 8:30am, we arrived at the gates of DisneySea…

Our entrance tickets

It will not be an exaggeration to say there were already a lot of people this early

Disney Touch…

If you like taking photos of people in costume or wearing ‘cute somethings’ you definitely need to go here.

In we go…

I guess there have been people who have tripped/fallen down that is why they have a number of people carrying signs encouraging people to just walk.

…on the way to our first objective, fastpass for the Toy Story Mania.

Reached the place at last!

Just had to take a photo of this 🙂

This is before 8am so I guess this ride/attraction is really very popular

Approaching the ‘finish line’…

Success!

So we went out of Toyville and explored DisneySea while waiting for the time of the fastpass stated time to go back.

BTW, you’ll notice that I took quite a number of photos of the 35th Anniversary “Statues’ plus people in costume or wearing something as a group/pair…

On the way to one of the rides/attractions…

Very difficult to take photos here…

There are a lot of things in the water here…

This is one of several shops here…

We decided to try the Nautillus Galley Specialty. Click here for details.

After eating, we continued exploring & taking photos. I strongly suggest having a camera with a high resolution (so you can zoom & crop and still have a good enough photo) or a high zoom if you want ‘close-up’ photos of the structures/far away subjects.

I think I like taking photos of people too 🙂

Another dimly lit place. This is where some cellphone cameras really have some edge over old school DSLR with a cheap zoom.

More photos …

Then tried the chicken curry bun at Sultan’s Oasis. Click here for details.

More 35th Anniversary Statue photos…

Then tried the Sushi Roll at the Bayside Takeout. Click here for details.

More photos of things on water…

Pairs/Groups of people as we pass them by…

Another 35th Anniversary Statue…

On our way to our selected location to watch the afternoon water show…

There were quite a number of people already even if there was a slight drizzle…

The view from our vantage point…

Here it comes…

The show is basically the boat going around with the Disney characters waving, dancing at the crowd plus some fireworks (missed the first volley)…

So I made sure I am ready if there will be a second…

Thankfully I was ready this time. Some more rounds of waving dancing at the crowds and it was done.

It was around 1:30pm so we proceeded back to Toyville. Some more photos of people while we walk…

Back to Toyville and Toy Story Mania…

The ride/attraction took around 10 minutes. And both my daughter and I would have wanted another round but…

…80 minutes of waiting is just too much so we decided to just do more exploration…

I found Nemo!

Some shop signs & decors, & more people…

I love this group!

Last few pics before we ate. I wonder how to get a ride on that?

We ended up eating at Restaurant Sakura. Click here for details. We ended up eating at Restaurant Sakura. Click here for details.

After eating, we proceeded to other places/attractions we haven’t visited yet. And of course taking pictures while walking…

We soon arrived at this water themed colorful place…

Of course another 35th Anniversary statue photo…

IMG_6621a

This place is dimly lit but very colorful and the rides are definitely for younger kids…

This is the Sleepy Whale Shoppe…

The eyes opens and closes…

Another shop…

Then walked …

…to an Arabian themed attraction..

Then walked …

…to our selected place to watch the night time show on water…

A short video of the fireworks. I was not able to video from the very start, no tripod/monopod 😦

Unfortunately it was raining so I was not able to take much photos :(. We then walk towards the station…

35th Anniversary Signpost

The globe at night…

Bye DisneySea… It was past 9pm already and even if we had spent over 12 hours and walked over 20 thousand steps, we have not really explore all that DisneySea has to offer.
