[2018-12-26] It started out as a cloudy day and it started raining before I arrived on site. Fortunately it was very accessible to public transport. Just 2 PUV + MRT rides from Pasay so not difficult to go from where I was.
We had iced tea while waiting for the rest to arrive.
The food started to be served after a while. First was the hot and sour soup. It was a bit too mild for me but was still ok (I had more than three bowls, hehehe). It would be better with more spice & stronger sour flavor.
Next was the crispy noodles. The noodles were good enough to eat as-is (I like junk food/snacks) but works as a meal with the sauce.
Yang chow fried rice is next. It was mildly flavored so you can still taste the dishes you eat with it. I only like strongly flavored rice if it will be eaten on its own with no other dishes.
Next is the thinly sliced pork in brown sauce “Hong Ma”. Good tasting, tender meat and fat so I liked it. Can be eaten as-is or with the bun.
The squid that was served next was tender but the flavor is mild unless you eat the chili/pepper with it. It would like it better with stronger flavors. Dipping it in the vinegar based sauce helps improve the flavor.
The fried chicken that was served was good to eat on its own though sauce is provided for those who wants it.
Though the shrimp balls were still crispy even when left out and cold already, it was still crispy and taste good. But eating it while hot is still best.
Thankfully I didn’t detect any wansoy in the dimsum served next so it was ok for me.
The butsi & almond jelly with lychee were the desserts. Both were not too sweet so I liked both.
It was a good and pleasant meal overall.
