[2018-12-09] Charlemagne in Nuvali was one of the six restaurant Tagaytay/Sta Rosa food crawl I was able to join recently. I liked the food I there so when an opportunity to join a meetup at the Feliz branch came up, I did not hesitate to join. Click to read review of Nuvali branch
The mall is not yet at its 100% (lack of guides/signages, etc.) so Charlemagne and other shops may not be easy to find. At the 5th floor/Top floor, Charlemagne is visible coming from the cinema side but not from the opposite side. From the side opposite the cinemas, upon reaching time zone, there are 2 clusters of restaurants in front of you if Timezone is behind you. Charlemagne is on the cluster to your left.
There were dishes served here that we were not able to try at the Nuvali branch.
Lengua in Mushroom White Sauce – nice and tender
Sichuan Chicken – tasty, crispy and just the right level of spiciness
Octopus ala Pobre
Crispy Lumpiang Hubad – the ‘paalat’/sauce is a bit sweeter and less salty than my preference but otherwise good.
The other food served were consistent with what we were able to try at Nuvali branch.
I wanted to order the blueberry banana again but tried the four season shake (looks nice for photo purposes) and it was too sweet for me. Some may like it but for those that prefers less sweet food/drinks like me, this is a hard sell.
3 types of desserts were served : I like the ones with the gooey/chewy mallows best.
