Kureji Malakas Diliman Q.C.

[2018-11-21] The weather was not so good. Sky was overcast and there was a slight drizzle. Under normal circumstances I would not be going out in this kind of weather but I committed to a meetup so go!

The place was quite big and had at least 2 private rooms that can be used for meetings or small private events.

If the weather is good, there is an open area at the back if you prefer open space.

My top three favorites among the food served are the following:

Sizzling Carbonara Udon – Sizzling noodles in carbonara cream sauce, topped with egg, mushrooms and bacon bits. Thick creamy savory sauc.e

Coconut Cream Kamameshi – Japanese rice cooked in kamameshi stock, with coconut sauce, shrimp and crab fat. Sweet creamy taste.

Pumpkin and Mushroom Kamameshi – Japanese rice cooked in kamameshi stock, with pumpkin and mushrooms. Strong savory flavors.

The rest of the food served were good too:

Tuna Tataki Taco – Fresh Tuna Served with Nori Tempura and Salsa. Mild flavors. Even those that do not like nori can try this. No ‘fishy’ taste.

Mixed Tempura – Deep fried prawn, kisu, soft shell crab and vegetables served with special tempura sauce (Sauce quite salty than sweet compared to others I have tried. You are supposed to put the sliced/minced veggies to lessen saltiness)

Salmon in Wasabi Sauce – Pan-seared salmon in special wasabi cream served in a hot sizzling bowl. Tender salmon meat.

Sizzling Tomato Seafood Ramen – Salmon, squid, shrimp, kani, kimuchi, and noodles in signature spicy tomato seafood tori paitan broth, served in hot sizzling bowl. The level of spiciness is at least medium. Nice dish for a cold day.
