[2018-12-25] I used to have a Bistro card. I renewed at least twice I think so I had one for about 3 years. We have eaten in all Bistro group restaurants in MOA during that period but there have been new restaurants added to Bistro Group’s stable of brands since that time. This restaurant is one of them.
My daughter asked if we could eat here after mass and obviously I said yes. We ordered a full rack and half chicken.
BTW, they provide 4 pieces of bread with sweet butter and a tin of peanuts with shell plus an empty tin for the shells. This provides something to tide you over or to pass the time while waiting for your orders to arrive which is less than half an hour.
The ribs was tender but I think I would request to have the sauce separated next time. It was a bit overpowering for me. The meat tasted good by itself w/o the sauce. I would prefer to control the amount of sauce I eat with the meat.
The chicken has mild flavors so my wife likes it. It was tender and not dry. The rice seemed buttered so we will most probably specify ‘plain white rice’, nothing added, sprinkled, etc. next time (buttered/flavored rice is ok with me but not my wife). The corn was ok but I have had better.
I had 3 types of drinks during this meal. First is the regular iced water. Next is the complimentary coffee. Last and definitely the best is the frozen margarita. I noticed the signages ‘P99 only’ and I was intrigued so I ordered one. I am glad I did 🙂
I was pleasantly surprised by the service. It was above what you normally get from restaurants even above this level. Your water is refilled without needing to ask. Additional napkins are provided without having to ask. They make you aware that they know your coffee/order is taking some time to be served but that they are aware of it and will have it served ASAP. Hopefully it is a consistent one and not limited to special days nor dependent on a specific person (Roland is the name of the person in charge of our table)
My family & I will definitely return to eat here again 🙂
