[2018-09-29] Met with a few batchmates to have dinner at Locavore. The preference of our batchmate from the US is Filipino food and Locavore is supposedly one of the better ones.

The salted egg gabi chips was good. The boneless chicken was tender with crispy skin. The adobong baka sa gata was tender. The gising-gising was crunchy.

The bitso dessert was ok but if you ordered it expecting the bitso of old, you might be disappointed. Though Locavore’s version is ok, it is nowhere like how bitso really is/was. Their version includes sliced bananas, 2 types of dip & the ‘mini-bitso’ itself is soft & crumbly compared to a ‘real’ bitso and may actually better for some.

Most of the dishes ordered seemed to be seasoned to be eaten with plain/unflavored rice and not eaten as-is/by itself.
